un dimanche en Normandie

A Sunday, we were invited by a friend  "JM" who also moved to a house in Normandy from Paris .

ある日曜、彼の友人、JM宅に招待されました。彼も、ノルマンディに一軒家を買って移り住んできた元パリジャンです。


　独身男性の彼がつくってくれたのはゆで卵と生野菜のサラダを前菜に、パンタードとグラタン・ダフォノワがメインでした。

il  a cuisiné une pintade de voisin .

　パンタード（ホロホロ鳥）はこの近くで養鶏されたもので頭つきのままオーブンからでてきました。

ll a sortie la rôtie avec sa tête .

『なんだか首をきる気になれないから』
わかりますよね。私は肉やに切ってもらいます。


He didn't like to cut his head ...me, neither. (I always ask to cut the head off to my boucher )


　シンプルにオーブンで焼かれたパンタード。濃厚な味でおいしかったです。
グラタン・ダフィノワも自家製。ポテトとクリーム、チーズを重ねて焼いてあります。おいしくできてました。

Simple  ; mais très goûteuse ! Son gratin dauphinois , aussi très réussi .

　食後に数キロ離れたフェルテ・ヴィダムという町につれていってくれました。

We went to the village called  Ferté Vidame .

...where was the vidame of Chartres. 

17世紀の教会横


内部のステンドグラスは19世紀のものと、ご覧のような1950年代のもの。第二次戦争後に修復されたものですね。

The stained glass windows in this church (17th c.)  were almost made in  1950 ' s. excepted some done in 19 th c.

　　ここは、
アンシアン・レジーム（フランス革命前）に、シャルトルの衛星都市として発展した町で、お城は二月革命時（1848）に燃やされたのだそう。
そのまま城の枠だけ、巨大な廃墟として建っていて不気味な気もする美しく珍しい公園です。

J'ai trouvé ce parc avec un châteu de la Ferté Vidame reconstruit par Louis de Rouvroy, duc de Saint-Simon , l'auteur de "Mémoires " , maintenant, ruiné est beau, mais un peu effrant.

　６０ヘクタールの敷地はそのまま市民に開放されており、広々とした庭を散歩できました。
ここに住んでいたルイ・ド・ルヴドワ・ド・サン=シモン公爵（Louis de Rouvroy, duc de Saint-Simon, 1675-1755）は、ルイ13世の寵臣のだったクロードの息子で、『メモワール』というルイ１４世と摂政の生活について書いた本が有名な人です。

The catsle was rebuit by  Louis de Rouvroy, duc de Saint-Simon known as who wrote "Mémoires" about the life of Louis 14th , then pulled out in the revolution in 1848.

城の別館は一時、牢屋として使われていたそうです。

This annex was used as a prison one time .

ピクニック＆写生をしに、また訪れたい場所でした。
